Our Directory Methodology
How we vet, verify, and categorize the tools that power the Australian mortgage industry.
Independent vs. Sponsored
Our mission is to provide an objective lens for the mortgage industry. While we partner with providers (Sponsored/Partner), these relationships do not influence the technical data or compliance assessments of the listing. Independent listings are curated by our editorial team using public records and direct software evaluation.
PII Scoring Framework
We categorize software based on the risk associated with Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Tier A involves direct storage of sensitive ID (Passports, Medicare); Tier B involves incidental metadata (Names, Emails); Tier C involves minimal or no personal data storage.
Verification Cycles
Software moves fast. We verify cloud infrastructure and data residency quarterly. Technical feature updates are synced with provider release cycles, ensuring you aren’t making decisions based on stale documentation.
Compliance Support
We believe compliance is a process, not a feature. We judge tools by the quality of the audit trails, alerts, and data integrity they provide, allowing you to satisfy your legal and risk obligations with confidence.
PII Governance Tiers
Our standard for judging data risk in the cloud.
Tier A — Direct Obligation
Systems that store primary sensitive data points (Passports, Medicare, Drivers Licenses). Under the Privacy Act 1988 (APP 11), these tools carry the highest notification risk for brokers in the event of a breach.
Tier B — Incidental/Metadata
Systems that store basic contact information (Names, Emails, Phone Numbers). While still protected data, these systems generally process data for communication rather than identity verification.
Tier C — Minimal/Logic Only
Systems that operate on anonymized data, business logic, or aggregated metrics. These pose the lowest risk to your client's personal privacy.
Commitment to Accuracy
If you are a provider and believe any information on our directory is inaccurate, we encourage you to use our feedback system to provide corrections. Our team reviews every submission.
